Biography

Jennifer Cannon focuses her practice on commercial litigation and employment litigation matters. She has represented public and privately held entities, banks, non-profit agencies, and individuals in a wide array of matters, including contract disputes, minority-majority shareholder disputes, tort cases, and employment discrimination cases in state and federal courts (both at the trial and appellate levels), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and arbitration.


Related Professional Experience:

Prior to joining BR&G in 2005, Ms. Cannon practiced with a large national firm in the Washington, D.C. area, handling commercial litigation and corporate matters, including representation of corporations in acquisitions, with regard to governance, and in federal and state securities matters.


Representative Experience:

Assisted telecommunications company in obtaining multi-million dollar judgment against telecommunications equipment manufacturer in contract dispute;

Assisted supplier of visual communications equipment in obtaining multi-million dollar judgment against defense contractor in contract dispute;

Represented large and small employers in employment discrimination matters in state and federal court and in the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination;

Assisted hospital in obtaining summary judgment against physician on physician's contract and tort claims arising from hospital's medical staffing decision; and

Assisted majority shareholders in obtaining summary judgment against minority shareholders in cases involving alleged freeze-outs.
