Michael H. Burke

Biography:

Mike Burke is a longtime member of the firm's Executive Committee, the head of the Professional Malpractice Practice Group and a member of the Litigation/ADR Department.

Mike's practice consists primarily of handling complicated civil litigation, with emphasis on professional malpractice and product liability defense. Mike has handled complex civil cases at all trial and appellate levels in Massachusetts and has litigated malpractice matters in Vermont.

Mike has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for the past 20 years in the areas of medical malpractice law (defendants) and personal injury litigation (defendants).

Representative Experience:

Represented healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, dentists and emergency medical technicians, before state administrative licensing boards.

Successfully defended cases involving allegations of failure to timely diagnose cancer leading to significant disability and death; failure to diagnose conditions leading to quadriplegia, paraplegia, significant disability and severe disfigurement; and negligent management of labor and delivery causing severe neurological damage to a newborn.
