Biography:

Seth M. Wilson is an associate in the firm’s Litigation/ADR Department and Intellectual Property Practice Group. As a patent attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Wilson prosecutes patents and trademarks in addition to resolving patent, trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property related disputes through litigation, mediation or otherwise. Mr. Wilson also advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property in connection with licensing and other business decisions.

Mr. Wilson also litigates and counsels clients on employment and general commercial matters and has represented Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 clients on these issues in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies.

Mr. Wilson clerked for the Honorable Frank H. Freedman in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in Springfield from 1998 to 2000. Before joining Bulkley, Richardson and Gelinas in 2005, Mr. Wilson practiced as an intellectual property associate with major firms in Hartford and Boston.

Mr. Wilson graduated from Western New England College School of Law, magna cum laude, in 1998, where he also served as Senior Articles Editor of the Western New England Law Review and as a student law clerk to the Honorable Alfred V. Covello in the United States District Court in Hartford, Connecticut. Before law school, Mr. Wilson earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary and spent a year pursuing graduate studies in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Massachusetts.

In addition to being admitted to the Patent Bar, Mr. Wilson is admitted in Massachusetts and Connecticut state and federal courts, and the U.S. Court of appeals for the First Circuit. He is a member of the Boston Patent Law Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association, where he serves as Co-Director of Diversity and on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyer’s Section.

Mr. Wilson contributes to the firm’s multi-lingual capabilities with his fluency in French.
