Tuesday, April 25, 2017, 5:15 pm (Pizza served)
Meekins Library, Rt. 9, Williamsburg, MA
Liz Sillin is chair of Bulkley Richardson’s Trust and Estates Department.
She will present conservation-based estate planning for foresters: Why and What YOU Need to Know about Estate Planning. Do you want to make sure that there is enough forestland to manage in the future? Without some minimal estate planning on the part of landowners, the likelihood of your clients’ lands getting parcelized and converted is very high. Come learn what tools are available to landowners and why your role and knowledge of their land can help them make an informed decision. You’ll learn about land ownership and transfer tools, and strategies for keeping forestland as forestland in the future. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask Liz Sillin, a local estate planning attorney questions. This program has been rated for CFEs.
