Recent Awards and Acknowledgements

The American Morgan Horse Association recently honored Robert Atkinson, a distinguished partner at BR&G, for his many years of dedicated service to this organization. Bob was the recipient of the 2005 Outstanding Service Award, which was presented at the AMHA’s annual meeting earlier this year in Lexington, Kentucky. According to one attendee at the event, Bob had the crowd eating out of his hand. [It helped that he was holding a handful of oats.]

James (Jim) Duda has been elected as a director of the Regional Technology Corporation. David Parke was the Program Chair for the MBA’s seminar on Forming a Business Entity, Including Franchises, which was presented at Western New England College on March 7 th.

Kevin Maynard and George Marion participated in the 42 nd Annual Practical Skills Program offered by MCLE in Springfield. George covered the topic of “Chapter 93A Cases: What You Must Know to Effectively Prepare, Negotiate and Try the Case” and Kevin addressed “Setting Up Client Accounts and Avoiding Conflicts of Interest.” Both George and Kevin have presented at this program for several years.

Scott Foster recently became a Foundation Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. The Massachusetts Bar Foundation (MBF) is the Massachusetts legal community's expert grant maker, raising and distributing funds to increase the public's access to justice and to advance the administration of justice.
