Amherst Lawyer Joins BR&G as Counsel
We are pleased to announce that William E. Hart of Amherst has joined the law firm as Counsel. In addition to welcoming him to our legal team, BR&G has established an office on Pray Street in Amherst. Mr. Hart’s paralegal, MaryAnn Grim, and his long-time secretary, Linda Fontaine, have also moved to BR&G.
Hart, formerly of Brown, Hart & Kaplan, LLP, will continue to concentrate his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, and taxation and business law. According to Francis D. Dibble, Jr., chair of BR&G's Executive Committee, "The addition of Bill Hart and MaryAnn Grim makes our trusts and estates practice even stronger than it has been, enables Bill's clients to take advantage of the range of legal services we provide, and enhances our ability to serve clients." Mr. Hart will work out of the Springfield office and will also meet with clients at the new Amherst office. Ms. Grim will work in the Amherst office.
A graduate of Amherst College, cum laude, and the University of Denver College of Law, with honors, Hart has served as a member of the Probate Section Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association and is a member of the Hampshire County and American bar associations. He is a past president of the Pioneer Valley Estate Planning Council.
In the community, he has served as a board member and volunteer for several civic and charitable organizations, including the Amherst Club, Great Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, and Hitchcock Center for the Environment.
