Staying Involved

Our attorneys regularly participate in legal education presentations, publish timely and interesting articles and volunteer to actively serve on boards of local charitable organizations. Some recent examples include:

David A. Parke served as the moderator and Donn Randall appeared on the panel for an MBA CLE program focusing on controlling outside legal costs. David A. Parke was also the program co-chair for another MBA CLE event, the Third Annual MBA In-house Counsel Conference. Both programs took place in Boston.

Elizabeth H. Sillin gave a presentation on “Estate Planning 101” at a recent conference at Western New England College Law School in Springfield. The event, entitled “Planning Your Ethical and Financial Estate,” was sponsored by the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts and the Estate Planning Council of Hampden County.

Christopher J. Scott has been appointed as a trustee of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Chris joins Ronald P. Weiss, who also serves as the Secretary of the organization.

Vanessa L. Smith’s article entitled “The Impact of HIPAA on Litigation Discovery: Lessons from the First Cases” was published in the Health Law section of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Section Review. Vanessa also serves as the section’s co-editor.

Kevin C. Maynard has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of World Is Our Classroom, Inc. Kevin continues to serve on the boards of other charitable organizations.
