Recent Awards and Acknowledgements
Francis D. Dibble, Jr. was recently inducted as a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL). The IATL was founded in 1954, and cultivates the legal profession by promoting reforms in the law, facilitating the administration of justice, and elevating the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the profession. Membership is limited to 500 Fellows from the United States and is based on the recommendation of peers and judges. Qualifications for membership include outstanding skills and extensive experience as a trial and appellate lawyer, and the highest personal and professional character and integrity. We are very proud of Sandy for achieving this great honor.

Sandy Dibble, Bob Gelinas, Chris Myhrum, Peter Roth and Ron Weiss have been further recognized for being listed in Best Lawyers for 10 years or more. Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has come to be regarded as a reliable guide to legal excellence in the United States. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.” It is an honor for us to have so many attorneys on that list.
A total of sixteen of our partners have each been named a “Massachusetts Super Lawyer” in a special section of the November 2005 issue of Boston magazine. Most of those were named last year as well. The “Super Lawyers” are:

Only 5% of Massachusetts attorneys were named “Super Lawyers.” They were chosen based on nominations by attorneys throughout Massachusetts and the recommendations of a blue ribbon review panel. Again, we are honored to have so many lawyers recognized.
Of the BR&G lawyers named, two — Sandy Dibble and Peter Roth — have been named “Top 100 Massachusetts Super Lawyers” in 2005. Ron Weiss was included on that list last year. They are among those who received the highest point totals in the “Super Lawyers” balloting, research and blue ribbon review process. They are the only three attorneys in any firm in Western Massachusetts named among the “Top 100."
The best indication of the quality of our lawyers is client satisfaction, and not awards or special designations. The Best Lawyer, “Super Lawyer” and IATL designations, however, serve as external recognition of the skill and integrity of our attorneys, on which that satisfaction is based.
