Partner Scott W. Foster on Crowdfund Act, Benefits to Pioneer Valley Entrepreneurs
Bulkley Richardson partner Scott W. Foster, a member of the firm’s Business & Finance Department, recently discussed with local media the impact of the federal Crowdfund Act after it was signed into law in early April.
On WGBY’s Connecting Point, as well as in a news segment on WWLP-TV and an article in The Republican, Foster discussed how the law will better enable Pioneer Valley entrepreneurs and start-up companies to raise funds.
Foster is a co-founder of Valley Venture Mentors, a non-profit organization providing key support to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by uniting carefully selected startups together with high quality business mentors at structured monthly pitch and planning sessions. Both the organization and Bulkley Richardson were included in a recent Boston Globe column on the state’s innovation economy.
