Five BR&G Attorneys Named “Rising Stars”

Three BR&G partners and two associates have each been named a “Massachusetts Rising Star” in a special section of the May 2005 issue of Boston magazine. They are:

• Kathleen Leitao Bernardo - Real Estate
• Scott W. Foster - Closely Held Businesses
• Jeffrey E. Poindexter - General Litigation
• Elizabeth H. Sillin - Estate Planning/Trusts
• Christopher J. Scott - Civil Litigation Defense

Only 2.5% of Massachusetts attorneys were named “Rising Stars”. They were chosen based on nominations by Massachusetts Super Lawyers who were asked to vote for the best attorneys who are either 40 or under or who have been practicing 10 or fewer years. After an attorney-led research team reviewed the credentials of potential Rising Stars and assigned points based on a set of defined evaluation criteria, the point totals from the general survey and research process were then added to arrive at a final tally. The lawyers were ranked by point totals and the list was cut until approximately 2.5 percent of the best up-and-coming attorneys in Massachusetts remained.
