Seunghee Cha’s presentation will address the following areas:

• When should you create an ABLE Account instead of a Special Needs Trust?
• When would a Special Needs Trust be a better solution?
• How can you integrate both the ABLE Account and the Special Needs Trust into the overall legal and financial plan?
• What are the legal consequences vs. benefits of your decision?

You will need to know the basics of financial planning to benefit from this intermediate level workshop, which focuses on examples of when each solution makes the most sense. Professional guidance is recommended to make a final choice between a Special Needs Trust or an ABLE Account, since there are legal ramifications to choosing one option over the other.

Seunghee is a member of Bulkley Richardson’s Trusts and Estates Department. In her comprehensive estate planning practice Seunghee assists individuals and families from all walks of life in areas including general estate planning; special-needs planning for individuals living with intellectual, developmental, and age-related disabilities; guardianship, conservatorship and alternatives; estate settlement; and trust administration.
